II John 9-11 says, "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine
of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he
hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring
not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God
speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds."
This is not a prohibition to letting cultists into your home. The early
Christians church commonly met in house churches to preach and teach God's
Word. This would mean that it is a propitiation of letting cultists preach
in your church. The word "your" is used in some translations. This makes
it sound like someone's personal house. The fact is that the word "your"
does not even appear in the Greek text.
Walter Martin, founder of the Christian
Research Institute, used to say that he would not give a cultist five
seconds to preach their heresies in his church. As Christians we are to
have a zero tolerance of allowing cultists the opportunity to spread their
lies of the gospel of Christ. Instead, we should be ready to teach and
rebuke them when they are in error, with respect and kindness.
